The Generac GP6500 Series Model 7690 portable generator has a 6500-watt rated capacity and a maximum 8125-watts for starting electric motors. Generac PowerRush Technology provides up to 40 percent more starting capacity over the rated continuous load of 6500 watts. Electric motors require a high starting current. PowerRush automatically produces up to 8125 watts of power for starting a motor. Automatic Voltage Regulation for 120-Volts at 54.2 amps or 240-Volts at 27.1 amps.
The Control Panel has all receptacles and controls including the On/Off switch, hour meter, and circuit breakers. Outlets include two 20A 5-20R GFCI Duplex Outlets (4 household outlets) with 20-amp breakers and one 30-Amp L14-30R Twist Lock with 30-Amp 2 Pole Breaker.
Generac 6500 Generator
A 389cc OHV engine with splash lubrication and low-oil shutdown powers The Generac GP6500. The engine automatically maintains 3600 RPM as the load changes for a constant frequency of 60 Hertz. This 6500 Watt Generator has a manual choke and recoil start. Fill the engine with 1.06 quarts of 10W-30 Oil. Use the hour meter located on the control panel to perform on-time maintenance for a long life of reliable service. The 7690 Generac Engine is 49-State EPA compliant. Not for sale in California.
The fuel shutoff is located on the 6.9-gallon steel fuel tank. Run time at 50 percent load is about 10.5 hours. The generator uses regular unleaded gasoline. A fuel gauge offers easy-to-read fuel levels.
6500 Watt Generator
Included in the package is one bottle of 10W-30 engine oil, an oil funnel, the handle & wheel kit, and the owner’s manual. The GP6500 frame is made from 1 1/4-inch tubular steel. Two never-flat 9 1/2-wheels and the folding handle make it easy to locate the generator wherever it’s needed.
