Cummins Onan P2500i Parallel Kit

The Cummins Onan P2500i Paralleling Kit allows two inverter generators to run in parallel and provide up to twice the power of a single generator. The A058U945 works with two P2500i generators.*

Running two P2500i generators in parallel has advantages over a single generator.

• A single generator provides up to 2200 running watts. Paralleling the P2500i doubles the power output to 4400 watts and up to 5000 starting watts—that’s enough for a 15,000 BTU RV Air Conditioner, the refrigerator, and other lights and appliances.
• The outlet on the kit is an RV Ready TT-30R 120-Volt 30 Amp Receptacle. Plug in your shore power cord and power your RV.
• Two Generators connected with a with a Cummins Onan P2500i Parallel Kit share the load. A 100 percent load for one generator is a 50 percent load for two generators. Run time for two generators in parallel reflects the shared load over the run time for a single generator. For example, the parallel generators could run for 8 hours before refueling instead of 4 hours for a single generator. Actual run times will vary with the load.
• Reduced load on the parallel generators reduces the noise level.

Cummins Onan Generator Paralleling Kit

Using the 30 Amp Generator Parallel Kit is simple. Always start with both generators off and the economy switches in the off position. Shut down the generators before disconnecting the parallel kit.

1. Plug the 30 Amp Paralleling Kit Cable into both generator’s parallel ports and connect the grounds.
2. Start the first generator, wait for the engine speed to stabilize.
3. Start the second generator, wait for the engine speed to stabilize.
4. Connect your load.

The Cummins Onan P2500i Paralleling Kit doubles the power available by combining the power of two generators with one cable. Use the 30 Amp Parallel Kit A058U945 for camping and RVing, emergency power at home during an outage, or any application where you need more power than a single generator can provide.

The Cummins Onan Parallel Kit works with two P2500i generators. Not for use with the P4500i, which requires a separate kit.
