How Symphony Choice Works
When the power goes out, the automatic transfer switch senses the outage. The standby generator turns on, and the transfer switch sends power to the home's circuit breaker panel. The home has lights and power for appliances. Heavy loads like air conditioners, electric dryers, and electric ranges use a lot of power. Symphony Choice prioritizes heavy loads so the homeowner and family have the appliances and systems they need most. For example, if the air conditioner is running, the electric dryer turns off—automatically.
