Cummins Power Generation A058U966 Details and Specifications
P4500i High Altitude Carburetor A058U966
The P5400i High Altitude Carburetor replaces the factory installed carb for high altitude applications. The gasoline jet inside the carburetor float bowl work add the correct amount of fuel to the air. Factory installed carburetors provide the right fuel mixture up to 2000 feet above sea level. Altitudes above 2000 feet to 7000 feet require different gasoline jets.
Use the appropriate jet from the P4500i high altitude kit A058V024 (sold separately) with the high altitude carburetor for the 224cc engine.

Every 1000 feet in altitude decreases available power by approximately 3 percent because of the corresponding decrease in atmospheric oxygen. Use of the correct high altitude jets above 2000 feet will reduce fuel consumption and emissions compared to the original factory jet, but does not improve power output.
**Important Operation Note: Use of a high altitude jet below 2000 feet may damage the generator engine if operated under load or for more than a few minutes.
