A. Most locations in the United States qualify for Free Shipping. In other places, additional shipping charges apply to freight shipments. If an address is only reachable by ferry or over a bridge with high freight tolls, Norwall passes those additional charges on to the customer. Ferries and bridges may have weight or size limitations that necessitate delivery by a different truck. Other special cases include limited access fees, high-cost service areas, re-consignment charges, or re-delivery charges.
A. Lift Gate Service is curbside delivery with 24-hour notification. The delivery truck is an 18-wheel semi-tractor trailer with a lift gate. The driver lowers the generator to the ground for you to inspect before accepting delivery. Do Not Sign until you inspect the generator for damage. Do Not Sign for a damaged generator. It is your responsibility (or your installer’s) to move the generator from the curb to the installation location. The driver cannot, and will not, move the generator away from the curb.
A. Lead time is how long it takes from order placement to delivery. Norwall accepts an order, verifies payment, and assigns product from inventory to the order. We verify payments, and in some cases, orders. Freight companies need time to transport a generator across the country. Local delivery may be affected by weather, ferry schedules, or the need to move the generator onto a different truck. When demand is high, it may take the factory weeks to deliver a generator. Norwall does its best to meet promised ship dates. However, sometimes products don’t reach our warehouses or ship from the factory as scheduled.
A. When you buy a generator or other product that includes free shipping, we contract with a freight company or package delivery company to deliver your order. After we verify payment, the freight company picks up your product with other orders. Shipments go to all 48 contiguous states and usually arrive within a few days. Free shipping includes liftgate curbside delivery and 24-hour delivery notification. Most locations qualify for free shipping, but delivery to some areas incurs additional costs which we must pass on to our customers.
A. The inverter and battery storage cabinet are typically installed on the outside wall of the house or garage. The authorized installer will help identify a suitable location inside or outside the home to accommodate the installation.
A. The PWRcell battery storage system starts at just $12,434.99. This price point includes 1- Inverter, 1- Battery Storage Cabinet, and 3 – battery modules. Special financing, as well as state or federal rebates, tax credits, and other financial incentives are available, and make the PWRcell even more affordable.
A. An RV Generator extends the convenience and comforts of home to your RV Motorhome. Use the vehicle’s fuel tank to supply the generator with gasoline or diesel, or carry propane in 20 or 30-pound tanks. RV generators from Cummins-Onan run air-conditioners, refrigerators, furnaces and your coffee maker. Travel trailers, popups, and truck campers take boondocking to the next level with Portable RV Generators. The top models use inverter technology for the most efficient fuel use and the least noise—as little as 51 dBA. Need more power, add a second generator with a parallel kit for up to 50-Amps.
A. A Whole House Automatic Transfer Switch rating must equal or exceed the rating of the main circuit breaker in the main circuit breaker panel. Do not use an ATS with a rating lower than the main circuit breaker or the main circuit breaker panel. The ATS rating refers to the maximum current rating. A 200-Amp automatic transfer switch can feed a 100 Amp, 150 Amp, or 200-Amp panel. A 100-Amp ATS can only feed a 100-Amp Panel.

A. A standby generator with Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is an automatic backup system for a home or business. When the power goes out, the generator system detects the outage, starts the generator, and the ATS disconnects the utility and connects the generator to the home or business. The standby generator system restores power just seconds after the utility goes out. They run in any weather, even hurricanes, and most run on natural gas or propane—no middle of the night refueling or finding a gas station with power to sell you gasoline. Portable generators are not automatic. They require setup each time they are used and connect appliances with extension cords, or a generator cord connects to a manual transfer switch through an inlet box. Standby generators are designed and manufactured for home or business backup. Portable generators have multiple uses including occasional emergency backup power. Power quality may be an issue with some portable generators, but never with a top brand standby generator.
A. Fuel consumption relates directly to the electrical load. As the load increases, the generator engine works harder to turn the alternator, and it uses more fuel to maintain the correct voltage and frequency. Turn on a small light. The fuel consumption increases proportionally. Turn off the light, and it decreases. At 50 percent capacity or 11,000 watts, the 7043 consumes 2.56 gallons of LP per hour. At full load and 100 percent capacity, or 22,000 watts, LPG consumption increases to 3.87 gallons per hour. Below 50 percent, fuel use begins to level off as the generator engine requires a minimum amount of fuel to run. Even when the house draws very little electricity, the generator must still run at 3600 RPM.
