DuroMax CO Alert Carbon Monoxide Detection and Shutdown
This generator comes equipped with CO Alert, a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects CO levels above a preset threshold.
The 15000 Watt Generator is for outdoor use only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. The CO Alert shutdown feature adds an extra measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.
The DuroMax XP15000HX+ Owner Manual explicitly states that the generator is only for use outdoors. Keep the generator at least 10-20-feet away from the building and any windows, doors, vents, or other openings with the exhaust pointed away from the building and preferably downwind. This generator may NOT run indoors. All homes should have a working, up to date, carbon monoxide detector in their home.
