DuroMax's XP16000iH Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is the largest inverter generator on the market. Designed for home backup, the 16000 Watt Generator has a 744cc V-Twin OHV Engine, yet puts out just 66.9dB sound—one of the quietest generators in its class. The XP16000iH runs on either propane or gasoline—up to 14.5 hours at 50% load on propane when connected to a 100-pound tank. On the ground, it moves easily on four wheels and two sets of fold-down handles (front and rear.)
This generator has two standard household GFCI Duplex Outlets with 20-Amp Breakers, and two 50-Amp, 120/250-Volt Outlets with 50-Amp Breakers. Parallel capable to run with a second generator for a staggering 108.33 Amps at 240-Volts—More than enough to run central air, electric dryer, water heater, well pump. DuroMax CO Alert Carbon Monoxide Detection and Shutdown
This generator comes equipped with CO Alert, a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects Carbon Monoxide.
The XP16000iH inverter generator is for outdoor use only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. The CO Alert shutdown feature adds an extra measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.
The DuroMax XP16000iH Owner Manual explicitly states that the generator is only for use outdoors. Keep the generator at least 20-feet away from any windows, doors, vents, or other openings with the exhaust pointed away from buildings and preferably downwind.
According to the DuroMax Owner Manual and Website, this generator May NOT run indoors. All homes should have a working, up to date, carbon monoxide detector on each level of the home.
