Kohler Load Shed Kits and Load Control Modules use current transformers to measure generator current. The LCM or Load Shed Kit can shed lower priority loads if necessary to allow higher priority loads to run.

The Kohler 400 Amp Current Transformer allows accurate, real-time measurement of generator frequency and load. Low frequency can harm some appliances and electronics. Heavy loads cause the generator frequency to drop out of tolerance or draw more current than the generator rated capacity. The load shed kit will shut down the lowest priority loads to prevent overloads and frequency drop.

Use the 400-Amp Current Transformer for larger cables.
