The Könner & Söhnen Direct Current Generator automatically charges your battery system. Ideal for off-grid applications utilizing solar or wind, or a combination of both, with a battery storage system. When battery voltage drops below 48 volts, the controller starts the generator within 5 seconds. Once the battery voltage reaches 53.5 volts or a charging current of 20 amps, the generator shuts down within 30 seconds. An external mode allows the generator to start via an additional relay.
User friendly with a sound dampening full enclosure, the KS 48DC-S CO produces just 62 dB noise measured at 23 feet.

This generator comes equipped with a CO Sensor, a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects Carbon Monoxide.
The KS 48DC-S CO inverter generator is for outdoor use only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. The CO Sensor shutdown feature adds an extra measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.
The Könner & Söhnen KS 48DC-S CO Owner Manual explicitly states that the generator is only for use outdoors. Keep the generator at least 20-feet away from any windows, doors, vents, or other openings with the exhaust pointed away from buildings and preferably downwind.
According to the Könner & Söhnen Owner Manual and Website, this generator May NOT run indoors. All homes should have a working, up to date, carbon monoxide detector on each level of the home.
