CO Detection and Shutdown
Th iGen2550c generator is for outdoor use only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. This generator is equipped with a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects rising CO levels above a preset threshold. The CO Sensor and Shutdown feature adds an additional measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.
The Westinghouse iGen2550c Manual specifically states that the generator may NOT run indoors.

Westinghouse 1800 Watt Generator
The iGen2550c produces up to 1800 watts and can supply up to 2550 watts for starting an electric motor. Output rated at less than 3 percent Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)—clean, safe power for electronics, charging, and small appliances.
Portable inverter technology allows the iGen2550c to automatically adjust the motor speed to match power requirements and maximize fuel economy. Parallel operation with another Westinghouse inverter generator (sold separately) using the optional 30-amp parallel cords (sold separately) adds more power when you need it.
A low-oil shutdown feature prevents engine damage if the generator oil level drops below safe levels.
