Shipping Insurance Policy Coverage

Coverage:

New, lawful, and approved goods are insured against "All-Risk" of physical loss or damage from any external cause.

Limits of Liability:

Coverage is limited to the value of the merchandise. 

Geographical Limits:

This policy applies to domestic shipments within the United States. Shipments to Puerto Rico and other excluded domestic locations are not covered.

Procedures for Damage or Loss Reporting:

For UPS or FedEx Shipments:

  1. If the package is visibly damaged:
  • You may refuse delivery.
  • Contact us immediately to initiate the replacement process.
  1. If damage is discovered after opening the package:
  • Inspect the merchandise upon receipt.
  • Report any damage to us within 24 hours for expedited processing.

For LTL Carriers (Truck Freight) Shipments:

  1. Inspect cartons at delivery:
  • Before signing the delivery receipt, inspect each carton for visible damage (e.g., crushed, torn, open, unsealed tape, etc.).
  • If any damage is found, note it on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and refuse shipment.
  1. If the damage is severe:
  • Refuse delivery.
  1. For concealed damage:
  • If no visible damage is noted at delivery but damage is discovered within 24 hours, contact Norwall immediately.
  1. If an item is missing:
  • Note the missing item on the delivery receipt before signing.
