2000 Watt Generator

The 2000 Watt Generator family includes generators from 1200 Watts to 2500 Watts. These small, fuel efficient and economical generators make great companions for camping and small RVs like truck campers, vans, pop-ups and small trailers. They produce enough power for lights, a microwave, and a small window or rooftop air conditioner. They can run power tools and charge batteries.

Small and lightweight, the 2000W Generator family is easy to carry with models that weigh less than 50 pounds. Run times exceed 10 hours on about a gallon of gasoline. EPA and CARB compliant models are for sale in all 50 states.

2000 Watt Inverter Generator

2000 Watt Inverter Generator models work differently from a standard portable. The output from a variable frequency 3-phase alternator feeds a DC in a rectifier circuit. An inverter circuit converts the DC current to single phase alternating current at 120 Volts or 120/240 Volts.

The inverter keeps the voltage constant throughout the rated power range regardless of the frequency output of the alternator. The generator motor varies speed to match the power requirements. At lower power levels, the motor runs slower. As the load increases, the motor speed follows.

A 2000W Generator’s lower motor speed plus a fully enclosed case keep sound levels exceptionally low and fuel efficiency high while reducing wear on the engine. At twenty feet, some models are no louder than conversation.

2000W Generator models range from the economical 1200 watt to the exceptionally quiet and fuel efficient 2500 watt inverter. Be sure to know the difference between starting watts (max watts) and running watts. Max watts starts motors. Running watts is the power available all the time.
