The Champion 1200 Watt Generator model 201285 is a lightweight, traditional portable generator mounted on a tubular steel frame with an OHV engine and 1.46 gallon gas tank with convenient fuel gauge. The 1200 watt generator features cold start technology for fast, quick startup in cold weather and comes with two standard 120-Volt household outlets. Intelligauge displays volts, frequency, and operating hours.

1200 Watt Generator
The Champion 1200 Watt Generator—rated for 1200 continuous watts and 1500 starting watts. The Champion 79cc OHV engine equipped with low-oil shutdown starts easily with manual choke and recoil starter. Champion includes a bottle of 10W-30 oil and an oil funnel to make adding oil easy and spill free.
The main panel has the engine On/Off switch, Intelligauge display, two 5-20R 120-Volt 20-Amp outlets with a 10-Amp push-to-reset Circuit Breaker. Covers protect the outlets and circuit breaker from the elements.

CO Shield Automatic Carbon Monoxide Shutdown
This generator comes equipped with CO Shield, a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects Carbon Monoxide. It meets ANSI/PGMA G300-2023 Requirements.
The Champion 1200 Watt Generator is for Outdoor Use Only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. The CO Shield shutdown feature adds an extra measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.
The Champion 1200 Watt Generator owner manual explicitly states that the generator is only for use outdoors. Keep the generator at least 20-feet away from any windows, doors, vents, or other openings with the exhaust pointed away from buildings and preferably downwind.
According to the Champion Owner Manual and Website, this generator May NOT run indoors. All homes should have a working, up to date, carbon monoxide detector on each level of the home.
