Did not work on arrival. Still not working weeks later
This unit was highly recommended. Unit shipped within a week of the order and arrived promptly. Once I assembled it, I tried to turn it on but it never started up. Both the electric start and the manual pull cord turn the engine over, but there seems to be no spark available to keep it running. An email complaint to Westinghouse was never answered. Two phone calls to "customer service" at Westinghouse were disconnected after 14 minutes on hold. The Westinghouse website listed a local firm as their service center. The owner came out right away, tried to get it started but failed. He took it away for diagnosis and parts, but that was a week ago, and not a word. He said he had 4 other Westinghouse generators in his shop waiting parts. I suspect quality control has gone lacking, and this brand does not deserve a good review.
