The DuroStar DS5500EH with Electric Start is a 4500 Watt / 5500 Watts Max Portable Generator. Dual Fuel capability allows the 5500 Watt Generator to operate on either gasoline or LP propane.

A full featured power panel includes all circuit breakers and controls including keyed off/on/start, voltage meter, low oil sensor light, MX2 120 - 120/240-Volt Switch, and DC charging posts.

5500 Generator

The DuroMax 5500 Generator easily powers 120-Volt and 240-Volt loads. Connect to a manual transfer switch inlet box for home backup through the 30-amp receptacle or hook up the RV to power and air conditioners, fridge, and more. Great for powering tools at home or on the job.

The DuroStar DS5500EH Generator with Electric Start and a powerful 224cc engine supplies plenty of power for home backup during outages or RV power. Powers RV and window air conditioners or furnace, refrigerator and freezer, and sump pump, plus lights and conveniences.

RVs, Tools, and Appliances take advantage of 120-Volt Full Current capability with MX2. Double the Amps available 120-Volt operation. Switch to 120/240-Volt for Home Backup with a Transfer Switch or 120/240-Volt Extension Cords. A full 37.5 Amps (45.8 Starting Amps) at 120 Volts.

Dual Fuel operation allows the engine to run on gasoline or LP Propane. Rated for 4500 running watts on gasoline and 4275 running watts on LP Propane. DuroStar recommends a 20-pound *LP propane tank for extended run times.

The DuroMax 5500 Generator fuel tank holds 4 gallons of gasoline and provides up to 9 hours of runtime at a 50 percent load. With a 20-pound propane tank, the generator runs up to 8 hours at 50 percent load. Fuel use varies with the electrical load.
