Generac Extreme Cold Weather Kit 100kW-150kW
The 9884 Generac Cold Weather Kit fits Generac Protector Series Generators with a 9 Liter Engine. Compatible Generators include the 100kW, 130kW, and 150kW in single phase and three phase configurations.
Extreme Cold Weather Kit components include a thermostatically controlled block heater. Generac recommends the kit for installations where the temperature regularly falls below 32 °F for extended periods.
Warming the engine block and oil makes it easier to crank the engine at startup, makes starting easier, and provides better lubrication in the seconds after starting.
Extreme Cold Weather Kit for Generac Protector Generators
The Cold Weather Kit for Generac 100kW 130kW 150kW Generators plugs into the standard 120-Volt convenience receptacle inside the generator. The kit contains all the hardware necessary for installation.
Generac recommends the installation of their Cold Weather Kit 9883 Battery Warmer wherever temperatures fall below 32 °F. Installation of the block heater requires the use of full synthetic oil.
