A pre-cast Generator Pad raises the generator above grade, keeps it level, and prevents it from sinking into the ground. A Concrete Pad for the Generator eliminates gravel beds and simplifies installation.
Generator Mounting Pad
A pre-cast Generator Pad raises the generator above grade, keeps it level, and prevents it from sinking into the ground. A Concrete Pad for the Generator eliminates gravel beds and reduces installation times to a single day.
They look great and speed installation.
Remove some sod and level the site, lay the Generator Mounting Pad on the soil and check level. Install the Generator. No gravel to haul in. No forms to build or concrete to pour. The Generator stays level and won’t sink into the soil. A pre-cast Generator Pad virtually eliminates the problems associated with gravel beds and the time and expense of poured concrete slabs.
Generator Pad
Most generators come with a plastic pad that lays directly on the ground. Over time, the pad will sink into the soil. Most generators are heavier on one end and that end tends to sink more. After a year or two, someone must lift the generator and level it again. Unless they fix the installation, the generator settles again. A prepared gravel bed reduces the problem, but eventually it shifts and the generator tilts as it slowly sinks.
The warranty does not cover damage to a generator caused by sinking into the ground.
A poured Concrete Pad for a Generator is one solution that works, but it can add considerable cost to the installation. Site preparation. Sand and gravel. Concrete forms and rebar, and the mixing and pouring of the concrete. It makes for a great Generator Pad but at considerable expense and time.
A pre-cast Generator Mounting Pad reduces expense and installation time.
A Concrete Pad for Generator
Most standby generator manufacturers offer a Generator Mounting Pad. Purchased with a standby generator, Norwall ships for free. Separate purchase adds a $250.00 shipping fee to the total cost.
In areas at risk for hurricanes, heavier, thicker pads meet building codes and keep the generator in place. Be sure to check local codes for installation requirements before ordering.
A Concrete Pad for Generator is more than a convenience, it saves money on installation and keeps a generator level and above grade.
