API Model 2155 Load Shed A/C
For use with any automatic generator transfer switch.
Each LOAD SHED A/C allows for 2 of any size air conditioners to alternate operation with adjustable timers while on an automatic generator.
While on utility, both air conditioners operate normally.
As many as 9 LOAD SHED A/C's may be connected to each generator system, controlling up to 18 air conditioners at once!
In short, the LOAD SHED A/C will automatically reduce loads to match the generator supply.
PROVIDED FUNCTIONS:
• Allows for 2 any size air conditioners to alternate operation on adjustable timers while in generator mode.
• While on utility, the LOAD SHED A/C allows both air conditioners to operate normally.
• As many as 9 LOAD SHED A/C's may be connected to each generator system.
• Nema 1 Enclosure (Indoor Rated)
INSTALLATION INFORMATON:
• Requires LOAD SHED Installation Kit P/N 2157 (listed under related products), 1 conduit and 2 low voltage termostat wires.
• A control line from the transfer swtich to the LOAD SHED A/C.
• Thermostat wire - Only 1 wire is needed from each thermostat.
That 1 wire from each thermostat is normally closed in utility and opens and closes on two adjustable timers during an outage using the LOAD SHED A/C on a generator with an automatic transfer switch.
