8.5kW Champion Maintenance Kit
The 100372 Champion Maintenance Kit for all 8.5kW single cylinder standby generators.
The kit includes one spark plug and an air filter. Keep one or two kits ready for long outages or whenever your generator requires scheduled maintenance. A well-maintained generator in top condition is ready to backup your power when you need it most.
Ontime maintenance with clean oil and a clean oil filter extends the life of your generator. New spark plugs and air filter ensure easy starts and reliable operation in the coldest weather.
Long outages lasting more than a few days add up hours fast and before a week is out, your generator requires maintenance. Just like a car needs new oil and a filter after certain mileage—which translates to hours on the engine—the generator requires new oil and fresh oil filter after a similar period.
Champion recommends maintenance every 100 hours or every 2 years of use. Check your manual for specific maintenance intervals. Perform maintenance more often in dusty or dirty environments, or when the generator runs in hot environments over 85 degrees.
