Cummins Onan RSS200-6635 200 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch
The RSS Automatic Transfer Switch combines the dependability and flexibility in a small, economical package. RSS swtiches are suitable for standby power systems in residential and light commercial applications. RSS transfer switches monitor utility power 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. When utility power becomes unsatisfactory or fails; the controller signals the generator to start, then transfers the load. When stable utility voltage returns, the transfer switch will automatically switch electrical load from the generator to utility. No action is required by the home owner.

Product is inaccurately advertised and listed. Beware of what you are purchasing. The actual item shipped includes a different controller than pictured and the Product Specs/Operators Manual do not apply to what you will receive.

The painted mild steel enclosure for these switches rusts out in 5 years or less. There is no weather stripping so rain gets inside. The disconnect cabinet next to it had no rust after 26 years The transfer switch was falling apart after 5 years. The transfer relay contacts are connected to the utility’s 240 v with no protection as is the cheap 5 ma sensing transformer. I replaced both multiple times due to spikes on the utility. The start battery charger fails about ever12 months. Ive replaced it at least 3 times. If you buy this switch install it indoors. I suggest you replace the sensing transformer with one having a 500 ma primary and add in line fuses on it and the control relay and battery charger.

Product pictured on web page is not what shipped. Bait and switch....
Norwall shipped a product with a controller that is different from what is pictured on their page listing. This is entirely misleading and false advertising. Norwall advertises that the product comes with a TS1310 controller but showed up with a PC20 controller.
