A regular maintenance program according to the maintenance guidelines in your owner manual ensures the generator system is always in top operating condition and warranty requirements are being met. Generac's maintenance kits provide all the hardware necessary to perform complete routine maintenance on a Generac automatic standby generator. Oil must be purchased separately based upon Generac's recommendations for your generator model—check your owner manual.
Regular, on-time maintenance according to the schedule is a requirement for all standby generators.

Maintenance Kit
The kit included everything I needed for general maintenance. Make sure you check the spark plug gap as suggested as both of mine were off quit a bit. Otherwise it was just what I needed at a "fair" price.

Right parts, all together plus nice extras
This is a quality kit. Be sure you get the correct kit for your unit. I have two near identical units but one uses a round air filter and the new unit uses a flat filter. I replace each PM kit in the month I use it so it is on hand and ready when the system or schedule indicates it is time. Maintenance is so cheap compared to repair and changing oil, filters, and plugs before they get used up is very easy. This kit includes a handy paper funnel to prevent spilling oil on the unit and while I first found the little towel strange I quickly found myself looking around for something to wipe up drips, the dip stick, and my hands.
