Briggs and Stratton 20kW Generator
A new and more efficient alternator on the 40637 20kW Whole House Generator delivers exceptional voltage control and more power for starting motors including 5-ton air conditioners. Tighter voltage control for less than 5% total harmonic distortion (THD) means cleaner power for sensitive electronics and heavy-duty motors.
The New Briggs and Stratton Amplify Power Management System changes the way standby generators and automatic transfer switches manage generator power. An Amplify Power Management Transfer Switch determines which high voltage (240-Volt) appliances receive power and which wait their turn. The Amplify Smart Phone App gives homeowners control over the power management system. Older systems were limited to eight priority settings fixed at installation. Amplify provides up to 32 priorities controlled by the mobile app. Now the Homeowner can give the electric dryer priority over the water heater or make both appliances wait until after dinner is cooked on the electric range. The 200-Amp Amplify Transfer Switch included with the Briggs and Stratton 20kW Generator isolates the home and generator from the utility and supplies power during an outage.
An air-cooled 993cc OHV twin cylinder Commercial Vanguard Engine powers the Briggs and Stratton Whole House Generator. The engine runs on natural gas (NG) or propane (LPG) as selected by the installer. Built with Dura Bore Cast Iron Cylinder Sleeves, Low Oil detection and shutdown, and a fully pressurized lubrication system.
The user programmable weekly test mode run operates at a lower RPM for less noise, reduced wear, and lower fuel consumption.
