Kohler builds 20kW generators with Commercial V-Twin 999cc Engines for exceptional starting power and reliability in any weather including hurricanes. When the power goes out, the 20kW generator restores power in 10 seconds to keep appliances working and the lights on. Award winning Kohler Generators provide high quality power and powerful performance for homes and businesses. The 20kW Kohler generator provides an exceptional 41kVA starting capacity for motors including 5-ton air conditioners and pumps.
The 20kW Kohler provides exceptional power quality with digital voltage and frequency regulation, and low harmonic distortion for sensitive electronics, appliances, and home medical equipment. The RDC2 controller manages the generator and the transfer switch.
Kohler designed the CH-1000 engine for heavy-duty applications. Hydraulic lifters eliminate break-in periods and valve adjustments. The engine operates at a constant speed regulated to 3600 RPM for 60 hertz AC current.

Required: Automatic Home Standby Generators require an automatic transfer switch (Kohler RXT ATS Recommended—sold separately.) The ATS controls the source of power for your home and isolates generator power from utility power lines. It can supply just your critical and essential circuits or the entire home. Refrigerators and freezers stay cold. Pumps runs when it should. The furnace and air conditioner keep the home warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
