Cummins Onan 2800 Generator
The new Onan RV QG 2800i uses inverter technology for cleaner power while using less fuel and producing less noise than earlier models. The new Cummins Onan RV QG 2800i gasoline powered RV generator replaces older models like Onan Microlite 2800 and the 2.8HGJBB-1120. New benefits include no daily oil check between maintenance with a 40 percent higher oil capacity plus a new permanent magnet alternator (PMA). The 2800 watt RV generator is US EPA and California emissions compliant.
Onan RV QG 2800 Series Generator
The Onan QG 2800i generator for RV Motorhome applications has enough power to start and run one 13,500 BTU air conditioner on a 600-Watt baseload with another 300 watts available. Computer overload control prevents nuisance circuit breaker tripping.
Inverter technology allows the generator engine to run at variable speeds depending on the load. Higher loads increase the speed while lower power use decreases the engine speed to save fuel and reduce noise. The catalytic muffler within the enclosure further reduces noise. A three-point mounting system isolates vibration and the enclosure for quieter, smoother operation. Noise output ranges from 63 dBA at no load to 65 dBA at full load makes the Onan 2800i Generator the quietest its class.

Computer controlled operation matches the load demand to the engine speed, minimizing the 2800 noise level and vibration. Meets National Park Service noise requirements and has a USDA Forest Service approved no-maintenance spark arrestor.
Electronic Fuel Injection eliminates the need for a carburetor. Fuel consumption at no load is just 0.14 gallons per hour; half load is 0.21 gallons per hour, and full load 0.46 gallons per hour.
The PMA has no bearings to wear out and no brushes to replace. It powers the inverter for a pure sine wave output and the best possible power quality. Overload control prevents unnecessary circuit breaker tripping when the air conditioner starts.
Fully Tested for RV Applications in Cummins owned RVs in extreme conditions including high humidity, salt spray, heavy dust and temperatures between -20 F and 120 F both starting and running.

Norwall Power Systems Service
This review is not about the product, but about the outstanding service provided by Norwall. I tried ordering this generator from others suppliers I found when Googled, but other didn't have any stock. They were the same price, but delivery was at least a month out. I ordered from Norwall at the same price as others. The generator was shipped the next day from Missouri and arrived in San Diego two days later! Then, I had two difficult questions about literature and recall on the generator. I received the literature and an answer on the recall the next day. That is service!
