CO Alert Automatic Carbon Monoxide Shutdown

This generator comes equipped with CO Alert, a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects Carbon Monoxide.

The DuroMax 15500 Watt Generator is for Outdoor Use Only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. The CO Alert shutdown feature adds an extra measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.

The DuroMax XP15500HX Inverter Generator owner manual explicitly states that the generator is only for use outdoors. Keep the generator at least 20-feet away from any windows, doors, vents, or other openings with the exhaust pointed away from buildings and preferably downwind.

According to the DuroMax Owner Manual and Website, this generator May NOT run indoors. All homes should have a working, up to date, carbon monoxide detector on each level of the home and in sleeping areas.

Read the Owner Manual Before Use. Follow ALL safety instructions and decals on the generator.
