Battery Heater for Generac 25-80kW XG Generators with 2.5 Liter or 4.5 Liter Engines
The 7992 Generac Cold Weather Kit fits Protector Series Generators with a 2.5 Liter or 4.5 Liter Engine. Compatible Generators include the 25kW, 30kW, 32kW, 40kW, 48kW, 60kW, and 80kW in single phase and three phase configurations.
Cold Weather Kit components include a thermostatically controlled battery warmer. Generac recommends the kit for installations where the temperature regularly falls below 32 °F.
As the ambient temperature falls, available battery power also decreases. The battery warmer keeps the battery warm to increase starting power in cold weather.
Cold Weather Kit for Generac Protector Generators
The Cold Weather Kit for Generac 25-80kW Generators plugs into the 120-Volt convenience receptacle inside the generator. The kit contains all the hardware necessary for installation.
In regions where temperatures fall below 32 °F for extended periods, Generac recommends the installation of their Extreme Cold Weather Kit 7990 in 4.5 Liter Engines. Add the 9985 Extreme Cold Weather Kit to 2.5 Liter engines. Generac requires the use of full synthetic oil with 7990 and 9985 cold weather kits.
