Generac Extreme Cold Weather Kit 32-80kW
The 7990 Generac Cold Weather Kit fits Generac Protector Series Generators with a 4.5 Liter Engine. Compatible Generators include the 32kW. 40kW 48kW, 60kW, and 80kW Protector Series Generators in single phase and three phase configurations.
Extreme Cold Weather Kit components include a thermostatically controlled block heater/oil warmer and installation hardware. Generac recommends the kit for installations where the temperature regularly falls below 32 °F for extended periods.
Warming the oil and engine block makes it easier to crank the engine at startup, makes starting easier, and provides better lubrication in the seconds after starting.
Extreme Cold Weather Kit for Generac Protector Generators
The Cold Weather Kit for Generac 32-80kW Generators plugs into the 120-Volt convenience receptacle located inside the generator. The kit contains all the hardware necessary for installation.
Generac recommends the installation of their Cold Weather Kit 7922 Battery Warmer wherever temperatures fall below 32 °F. Installation of the block heater/oil warmer requires the use of full synthetic oil.
