Champion 201083 Details and Specifications
Champion 8500 Watt Generator Dual Fuel + CO Shield
GAS: 8500 Running Watts / 10675 Starting Watts
LPG: 7650 Running Watts / 9565 Starting Watts
The Champion 8500 Watt Generator with electric start is convenient for home backup or versatile portable power wherever it’s needed. The Champion 201083 runs large appliances and multiple power tools for up to 10 hours on a 7.7 gallon tank of gas or 5 hours on a 20-pound propane tank*. At 74 dBA of noise, it compares to the average home vacuum cleaner. Powered by a Champion 459cc OHV Engine with low oil shutdown.
8500 Watt Generators are great for backup power during an outage, running multiple tools on a jobsite, or power at a remote cabin. Electric Start with the included battery plus cold start technology makes starting easy and trouble free.
CO Shield Carbon Monoxide Automatic Shutdown
CO Shield, a safety feature, automatically shuts off the generator if it detects Carbon Monoxide—before it reaches unsafe levels. CO Shield does not allow the generator to run indoors, with or without the windows open. Never run a generator in an enclosed space. Always use a Carbon Monoxide detector in your home. Position your generator at least 10 to 20 feet from your home with the exhaust pointing away from all buildings.
Champion 8500 Watt Generators
What can a 8500W generator run?
With 10675 Starting Watts and 8500 Running Watts , Champion 8500 Watt Generators run a 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner or a 1.5 Ton Central AC (manual transfer switch required for hard wired appliances not included) plus refrigerator, freezer, sump pump, and other essentials. Electric Start plus Champion’s exclusive Cold Start Technology makes it easy to use, even in freezing weather. Dual Fuel Generator Operation adds versatility with another fuel choice. Larger propane tanks can extend run times from hours into days or more than a week with maintenance.
The digital Intelligauge alternately displays the voltage, frequency, and run hours and total operating hours. From 23 feet away, the noise is a little louder than a vacuum cleaner.
