Generac PWRcell 9kWh Bundle
The 9kWh PWRcell Bundle combines three products for a PWRcell battery storage system.
PWRcell is a unique battery storage system to store power from solar panels or the grid in batteries. An inverter converts power from the grid or solar panels to power the house or charge the batteries.
In an off-grid configuration, solar panels provide supply power to charge the batteries and power the house during the day. After the sun goes down, the inverter coverts the power stored in the batteries for use in the home.
On the grid, batteries can charge from the grid and from solar panels. During a power outage, the inverter supplies the house with power from the batteries.
This PWRcell kit has a total usable storage capacity of 9kWh. With additional batteries, the system expands to 18kWh. Adding a second battery cabinet with 3 to 6 batteries expands the system up to a maximum of 36kWh.

PWRcell Battery Module
Generac designed the PWRcell Battery Modules specifically for use in the PWRcell Storage System. Each battery modules has a useable capacity of 3.0kWh. The minimum configuration requires 3 battery modules in the cabinet or a maximum of 6 modules for 18kWh. A cabinet with 3 or 5 battery modules requires a spacer kit, but a cabinet with 4 or 6 modules does not require spacers (see images below.)
PWRcell Inverter
The PWRcell 7.6kW Inverter converts electrical power from the grid, solar panels, or a generator for use in the home or for storage in the battery. The inverter can also convert power from the battery modules for use in the home during a power outage or when the solar panels are not producing electricity, such as at night or the sky is heavily overcast.
PWRcell Battery Cabinet
The PWRcell Battery cabinet holds the battery modules that store electrical power. Each cabinet can hold from three to six batteries for 9kWh to 18kW of storage. The addition of a second cabinet allows storage of up to 36kWh. A minimum of three batteries is required in each cabinet. An installer can easily upgrade the cabinets with one, two, or three additional batteries (sold separately.)
