Generac Cold Weather Kit 100kW-150kW
The 9883 Generac Cold Weather Kit fits Generac Protector Series Generators with a 9 Liter Engine. Compatible Generators include the 100kW, 130kW, and 150kW in single phase and three phase configurations.
Cold Weather Kit components include a thermostatically controlled battery warmer. Generac recommends the kit for installations where the temperature regularly falls below 32 °F.
As the ambient temperature falls, available battery power also decreases. The battery warmer keeps the battery warm to increase available power in cold weather.
Cold Weather Kit for Generac Protector Generators
The Cold Weather Kit for Generac 100kW 130kW 150kW Generators plugs into a standard 120-Volt receptacle inside the generator. The kit contains all the hardware necessary for installation.
In regions where temperatures fall below 32 °F for extended periods, Generac recommends the installation of their Extreme Cold Weather Kit 9884. Use full synthetic oil in cold weather along with the cold weather kits.
